My name is Betty Scarimbolo and I am the owner of Fitness Together in Naperville Illinois. I have a background in business and came from the corporate world were I did a lot of my own recruiting and hiring. I thought I would have no problem hiring personal trainers for my facility giving my hiring experience but I was wrong. I had trouble finding quality trainers who would last more than 3 months. Then one day a student from NPTI walked in to discuss job opportunities at my studio. He was just about to graduate and was very eager to get a job. I interviewed him and hired him. 3 months later I was in need of an additional trainer and I contacted Nick Sabino at NPTI (who was the instructor for the trainer I had recently hired) and has told him what I was looking for and he sent a student right over. I ended up hiring that student as well and currently my 4 trainers are all graduates of NPTI. They have also been with me almost 2 years. I have noticed that the quality of trainer these individuals receive is different than an on-line course. The trainers are well prepared and have also had some hands on training with clients even before they graduate. I have had nothing but success with NPTI and will continue working with them whenever I am need of a great trainer. When I first saw NPTI’s ad in my local newspaper, my gut told me I was going to register for their personal training program. I was a stressed-out, burnt-out business person looking to create a new career in the fitness and wellness industry. I was in my mid-40’s, wanting a new career path, and looking to gain the knowledge and experience necessary to start a business that helped people build happy, healthy, and fit lives.
